Products Description
The asphalt-aggregate adhesion tester provides a reliable and standardized testing method for evaluating the bonding performance between asphalt and aggregates. It can effectively guide the design and construction quality control of asphalt mixtures and improve pavement durability and resistance to water damage.
Asphalt–Coarse Aggregate Adhesion Tester
Model:TD616-1
I. Product Introduction
The Asphalt-Aggregate Adhesion Tester is used to test the adhesion performance between asphalt and coarse aggregate surfaces and to evaluate the water stripping resistance of coarse aggregates. This equipment is widely used in highway engineering laboratories, research institutions, and construction quality testing departments to ensure the durability and water stability of asphalt mixtures.
This equipment is designed and manufactured in strict accordance with the following standards: JTG 3410-2025 —— T 0616-2025;ASTM D3625 (Reference Standard)
II. Test Methods and Scope of Application
This equipment supports two test methods: boiling water method and immersion water method. The appropriate method should be selected based on the aggregate particle size:
Boiling Water Method: Applicable to coarse aggregates with a maximum particle size greater than 13.2 mm, used to evaluate the spalling of the asphalt film under high-temperature water.
Immersion Water Method: Applicable to aggregates with a maximum particle size less than or equal to 13.2 mm, suitable for fine aggregates and fine-grained asphalt mixtures.
Mixed Aperture Sizes: When aggregates from the same source contain both particles larger than and smaller than 13.2 mm, the boiling water method (>13.2 mm) test result should be used as the standard.
Fine-Grained Asphalt Mixtures: The immersion water method should be used as the standard evaluation method.
