I. Product Introduction

 

This instrument is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements specified in the Chinese national standard GB/T 4507 – Determination of Softening Point of Petroleum Asphalt, and the Chinese Ministry of Transport standard JTG E20-2011 “Test Methods of Bitumen and Bituminous Mixtures for Highway Engineering”, specifically T0606-2011 – Softening Point Test of Asphalt (Ring-and-Ball Method). It is also produced with reference to international standards ASTM D36/D36M, AASHTO T53, EN 1427, ISO 4625 (Ring-and-Ball), and IP 59.This instrument is suitable for determining the softening point of various types of asphalt, including road petroleum asphalt, coal tar pitch, and liquid petroleum asphalt. It is the preferred instrument for asphalt production enterprises, highway and bridge construction units, and related colleges, universities, and research institutions.

2. Temperature Measurement Range: (a) For samples with a softening point below 80℃, using distilled water as the heating medium, +5℃+80℃; (b) For samples with a softening point above 80℃, using glycerin as the heating medium, +32℃+180℃;

III. Precautions

 

1. Press the "Reset" button before each test to clear previous test data, ensuring data accuracy.
