Products Description
Penetration balls are used to measure the elastic recovery ability of sealant by pressing it into the sealant surface under pressure after the sealant has been heated, molded, cooled, and cured.
Standard penetration ball for elasticity testing of sealant
Model:LJLMA-1
I. Product Introduction
The pavement heating sealant elastic recovery rate penetration ball is used to measure the percentage of deformation a sealant specimen can recover under specified conditions. It is used in conjunction with an asphalt penetration tester. It meets the requirements of JT/T740-2015 "Pavement Heated Sealants". Elastic recovery rate is an important indicator of the adaptability of pavement heated sealants in low-temperature environments. A higher elastic recovery rate indicates that the sealant can better recover its original shape in low-temperature environments, reducing material cracking or damage caused by temperature changes.
II. Usage Method:
Remove the standard needle from the asphalt penetration tester and replace it with the penetration ball.
Place the sealant specimen in a flat-bottomed glass dish and use the penetration ball for testing.
Record the deformation of the penetration ball and calculate the elastic recovery rate.
