Products Description
This product is suitable for testing the ultimate flexural-tensile strength of cement concrete to provide design parameters, verify construction quality, and establish loading standards for flexural-tensile modulus of elasticity tests; the method applies to various types of prismatic cement concrete specimens.
Concrete Flexural Strength Test Fixture
Model: TD558-1
I. Product Introduction
The Concrete Flexural Strength Test Fixture is designed and manufactured by our company in accordance with JTGE30-2005, Standard Test Methods of Cement and Concrete for Highway Engineering, specifically T0558-2005, Test Method for Flexural Strength of Cement Concrete.
Reference Standards: ASTM C78/C78M, EN 12390-5
II. Instruments and Equipment
(1) TDYE series press or TDWE universal testing machine.
(2) Model TD558-1 flexural-tensile testing apparatus (i.e., an apparatus for testing the flexural-tensile strength and flexural-tensile modulus of elasticity of concrete, featuring dual-point loading at the third-span points and three-point free support).
III. Product Features
1. Designed for concrete flexural strength and flexural-tensile modulus of elasticity testing.
2. Suitable for prismatic cement concrete specimens used in laboratory and quality control testing.
3. Adopts a three-point support and third-point loading configuration for stable and uniform loading.
4. Can be used with a compatible compression testing machine or universal testing machine, providing a flexible testing solution.
5. Suitable for concrete material research, construction quality control, laboratory testing, and engineering projects.
6. The fixture is designed for convenient installation and operation, helping improve testing efficiency and measurement consistency.
IV. Testing Applications
The TD558-1 Concrete Flexural Strength Test Fixture is suitable for testing the flexural performance of cement concrete specimens. It can be used to determine concrete flexural strength and related flexural deformation properties under specified loading conditions.
Typical applications include:
Concrete flexural strength testing;
Concrete beam bending tests;
Flexural-tensile strength testing of cement concrete;
Concrete flexural modulus of elasticity testing;
Quality control of concrete materials;
Laboratory research and development;
Evaluation of concrete used in roads, bridges, pavements, and other construction projects.
V. Suitable for Concrete Beam Specimens
The TD558-1 is designed for prismatic concrete specimens and can be installed on a suitable testing machine according to the required test configuration. Its beam-type loading arrangement makes it suitable for laboratory testing of concrete specimens subjected to flexural loading.
VI. Testing Principle
During the test, the concrete prism specimen is placed on the supporting points of the fixture. Load is applied through the loading points at the specified positions until the specimen reaches flexural failure. The maximum applied load is used to determine the flexural strength of concrete according to the applicable test method.
For modulus of elasticity testing, the corresponding deformation of the specimen is measured during loading to evaluate its flexural modulus of elasticity.
