I. Product Introduction

The Accelerated Aggregate Polishing Machine is a new-generation testing instrument developed by our company in accordance with the requirements of JTG E42-2005 Test Methods of Aggregate for Highway Engineering, T0321-2005 Polished Stone Value Test for Coarse Aggregate. Based on the previous TD321-2 Accelerated Aggregate Polishing Machine, the structure has been redesigned and optimized to provide safer operation, greater convenience, and enhanced durability.

II. Applications

The Accelerated Aggregate Polishing Machine is designed to simulate the polishing action of vehicle tires on road surfaces under laboratory conditions. By subjecting coarse aggregates to accelerated polishing, the equipment determines their resistance to polishing (Polished Stone Value, PSV) and evaluates their long-term skid resistance performance.

The test results provide a scientific basis for selecting suitable surface aggregates for pavements with different skid resistance requirements, promoting the rational utilization of stone resources, shortening the research and development cycle of high-friction pavement materials, and supporting the development of high-performance artificial aggregates.

III. Structure

The Accelerated Aggregate Polishing Machine mainly consists of the following components:

1. Drive System

Includes the motor, synchronous gears, rubber wheel assembly, and related transmission components. It is responsible for transmitting power and adjusting the transmission ratio to ensure stable operation.

2. Road Wheel Assembly

Designed to hold and rotate 14 aggregate specimens during the accelerated polishing test.

3. Abrasive Feeding System

Comprises an abrasive hopper and support frame. It is used to store the abrasive material and provide a controlled, uniform flow of abrasive onto the test specimens.

4. Water Supply System

Consists of a water tank support, water reservoir, flow meter, and water pipes. It is designed to supply and regulate the water flow required during the polishing process.

5. Load Adjustment Mechanism

Includes a handwheel and cam mechanism for supporting the counterweight and adjusting the contact pressure between the rubber wheel and the road wheel.

6. Counterweight System

Consists of a lever, counterweights, protective sleeve, and related components to ensure that the specified test load is consistently applied to the road wheel.

7. Specimen Mould

Used for preparing standard aggregate polishing test specimens in accordance with the applicable testing standards.

8. Electrical Control System

Controls the preset number of road wheel revolutions and regulates the abrasive feeding rate throughout the polishing test.
