Cement Mortar Drying Shrinkage Test Mold
Model: TDJC603-M
I. Product Overview
The Cement Mortar Drying Shrinkage Test Mold is developed and manufactured by Hebei Tianqixingzi Inspection Equipment Co., Ltd. in accordance with JTG E30-2005, Test Methods of Cement and Concrete for Highway Engineering, specifically T 0511-2005, Test Method for Drying Shrinkage of Cement Mortar, with ASTM C596-23 provided as a reference standard. The mold is designed for the forming and compaction of cement mortar specimens used in drying shrinkage tests.
II. Main Structure and Technical Specifications
1. Cement Mortar Drying Shrinkage Test Mold
The mold adopts a three-compartment design, with internal dimensions of 25 mm × 25 mm × 280 mm for each compartment. The end plates are provided with three holes for installing measuring studs. The holes are precisely positioned to ensure that the measuring studs are aligned with the longitudinal axis of the specimen after molding.
2. Partitions and End Plates
The partitions and end plates are made of steel, with a working surface roughness of Ra ≤ 6.3 μm, providing good machining accuracy and reliable stability during use.
3. Base
The base is machined from HT20-40 gray cast iron. The upper surface has a roughness of Ra ≤ 6.3 μm. The non-machined surfaces are painted with a smooth finish and are free from obvious paint runs, providing good durability.
4. Measuring Studs
The measuring studs are made of stainless steel or copper. During specimen molding, the measuring studs extend 10 mm ± 1 mm into the end plates of the mold and are used for measuring changes in the length of drying shrinkage specimens.
5. Standard Tamping Rods
The standard tamping rods include a square tamping rod and a notched tamping rod, both made of metal.
Square Tamping Rod: The tamping surface measures 23 mm × 23 mm and is used for compacting cement mortar specimens.
Notched Tamping Rod: Used for compacting the mortar on both sides of the measuring studs to facilitate proper specimen forming.
III. Use and Maintenance
After each test, promptly remove any residual cement mortar and other contaminants from the surface of the mold and wipe it clean. After cleaning, apply a suitable amount of machine oil to the mold surface. Store the mold in a dry and well-ventilated environment to maintain its good working condition and extend its service life.
IV. Application
The Cement Mortar Drying Shrinkage Test Mold is mainly used for preparing cement mortar specimens for drying shrinkage testing. It is suitable for cement laboratories, construction material testing laboratories, research institutions, quality inspection laboratories, and other facilities involved in cement and concrete testing.
The three-compartment mold allows multiple specimens to be prepared simultaneously, helping improve testing efficiency and maintain consistent specimen dimensions.
